EQUINUNK, PA — The Manchester Community Library plans two blowout book sales each year at the end of the season. Held in November and December, the purpose of the sales is to clear some room on the shelves for donations that come in over the winter, so the books sell for incredibly low prices.

Hard covers cost four for $1, paperbacks five cents each. Patrons often buy books by the bag, carton and case. Romance novel lovers always welcome. Many hard covers are also gift-able for the holiday season.

The first sale will be on Saturday, November 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The second sale is on Saturday, December 1, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and will be the last day the library is open for 2018 season, as the building is too difficult to heat in the winter. Located at 3879 Hancock Highway, (a.k.a. Route 191), two miles south of the center of Equinunk.
