NARROWSBURG, NY — Artist Barbara Fiore, showing new work at Forage Space on Saturday, October 13 from 4 to 8 p.m., once worked in two dimensions only. Then a bear inspired her to work in clay—a black bear she was decorating for the Milford Black Bear Film Festival.
Fiore’s new work features colorful, playful animals with whimsical spirits. Her work is sculptural snapshots of her endearing amusement with the simple aspects of attitude and personality. Her polychrome terracotta pieces are painted in bright casein colors.
Forage Space is an art gallery that features new art each month, with openings every second Saturday. Located at 144 Main St, its regular hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
