Art-A-Pelago openings

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Arts Alliance will hold openings for new exhibits at its Art-A-Pelago galleries on Saturday, October 13. The Analfi Gallery at the Bodhi Tree will present a multimedia art exhibit, “Ten Pages” by 10 local artists from Wayne (PA) and Sullivan (NY) counties; and there will be a second exhibit of these same artists at the Thasos Gallery at Black & Brass. The public is invited to the opening reception for “Ten Pages” from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bodhi Tree, 214 6th St., Suite B; and at Black and Brass Coffee, 520 Main St. Also on October 13, at the Paros Gallery at the D.J. Harvey Agency, 815 Main St., there will be an opening of an exhibit of poster art from Canaltown’s annual Short Spooky Movie Festival, aka Spookyfest.

The “Ten Pages” exhibit, coordinated by Naomi Teppich, features works in drawing, painting, collage, prints, ceramic sculpture, digital photography and filmmaking. Artists include Robyn Almquist, Eva Drizhal, Erica Hart, Elizabeth Ennis, Pauline Glykokokalos, Joanna Hartell, Alexis Siroc, Martin Springhetti, Naomi Teppich and Nancy Wells.

“Ten Pages” will run through January 5, 2019, open on Second Saturdays, October 13, November 10 and December 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit at Bodhi Tree can also be viewed every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and by invitation through Saturday, January 5. The artwork at Black & Brass Coffee can be viewed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The Canaltown poster exhibit will run through November, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
