Become a street performer

MONTICELLO, NY — NACL Theatre is developing a professional street theatre ensemble of players to perform short skits and spectacular performances at parades, festivals, events, fairs and gatherings over the coming year.

At the risk of being presumptuous, I’m going to assume that parents still read to their kids. At least, I hope so. My mother read to both my sister and me and instilled in us a great love of literature from a tender age—something that we both cherish as adults. To the best of my recollection, E.B.

Bean-to-bar chocolate workshop

HONESDALE, PA — There will be a chocolate-making workshop led by Jeff Abella, co-founder of Moka Origins, a chocolate and coffee company located in Honesdale, at The Cooperage on February 17 at 7 p.m. During the hands-on workshop, you’ll learn about Moka’s cocoa farm in Africa, get a little messy making chocolate and get to taste it.
