Season’s final Calder Café

EQUINUNK, PA — Winter is winding down and First Friday musical events at the Equinunk Historical Society’s Calder Café will end on April 6. The gatherings have been bedeviled by weather “meanies” this year. But the intrepid performers always came and filled the evenings with song despite the diminished crowd. Everyone went home humming.

'Sound of Music' at Monticello High

MONTICELLO, NY — Monticello High School and RJK Middle School will present a joint production of “The Sound of Music” on Friday, April 6 and 13 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. The final collaboration between Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II, “The Sound of Music” has become a play beloved around the world.

Hedy Lamarr documentary at DVAA

NARROWSBURG, NY — “Any girl can be glamorous,” Hollywood siren Hedy Lamarr once said. “All you have to do is stand still and look stupid.” But stupid she wasn’t. The new documentary “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story,” directed by Alexandra Dean, explores the complex journey of a woman who was much more than her beauty.

HONESDALE, PA — The Cooperage hosts its final Main Street Farmers’ Market of the season, Saturday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stock up on freshly baked goods and farm fresh eggs, locally grown produce like carrots, cabbages, potatoes, onions and hearty greens, and farm-to-table eats from Anthill Farm Kitchen.

Easter egg hunt in Liberty

LIBERTY, NY — An Easter egg hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24 in the Village of Liberty. All activities are free thanks to the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation Department, Liberty Public Library and Liberty Elks Lodge. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, March 25.

HONESDALE, PA — Grammy-nominated musician Scott Sharrard will be taking the stage at The Cooperage, 1030 Main Street, on Friday March 23. Called “one of the best Blues/R&B guitarists in the country” by Billboard Magazine, Sharrard was the longtime writing partner, musical director and guitarist for Gregg Allman.
