HONESDALE, PA — The American Wine Society will host a wine tasting and discussion at The Cooperage on Thursday, February 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. Join husband/wife team of David Falchek, executive director of the American Wine Society, and Rosemary Gownley, senior food scientist for J.J. Snack Foods, for a survey of the diverse wines from the Veneto region, which produces an array of wines ranging from bubbly Prosecco and crisp Soave to brooding reds such as Amarone.

Falchek will also discuss how The Cooperage community can form an American Wine Society chapter to continue their exploration of wine. The American Wine Society, a 501(c)(3), is the oldest and largest organization of wine consumers in the nation, dedicated to promoting wine appreciation through education. The national office of The American Wine Society recently moved to Scranton, PA. The suggested donation is $10.
