EQUINUNK, PA — The 18th annual Equinunk Car Show, sponsored by the Equinunk Historical Society, and featuring vintage, classic and rare vehicles will take place on Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Freilich and Raphael’s meadow on Pine Mill Road, just outside the village. The show is free to exhibitors and attendees.
Show entrants include a wide assortment of contemporary, custom and vintage vehicles, often including tractors and motorcycles. In fact, previous exhibitors have included buses, campers, and even semis. This popular car show is usually attended by a little under 200 cars a year, so the competition for the People’s Choice Award and Special Recognition Awards is stiff but always friendly.
The first 100 entries will receive dash plaques. Bring the family for the food, vendors, baked goods, books, memorabilia from the historical society, a DJ and door prizes for the exhibitors. No rain date, so bring sunshine too. For more information call 570/224-6722.
The sponsors this year are C. Neer RV, Inc., Equinunk; Country Roads Market & Deli, Equinunk; Ted Dobkowski II; The Equinunk Emporium; LaBar Computer Services, Waymart; Menotti Tire, Honesdale; Motion Therapy, Inc., Honesdale; St. Clair Graphics, Honesdale; Sub-Urban Tinting, Damascus; Town and Country Energy, Equinunk; Wayne Bank, Honesdale (media sponsor); and Wayne County RediMix Concrete Co.
