MONTICELLO, NY — Monticello High School and RJK Middle School will present a joint production of “The Sound of Music” on Friday, April 6 and 13 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. The final collaboration between Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II, “The Sound of Music” has become a play beloved around the world. Based on the true story of the Von Trapp Family Singers, this play captures a personal tale of growth and hope amidst the horrors of World War II. The play stars Eddie Spear as Captain Von Trapp, Sofia Heimowitz as Maria 1 and Kayla Lindstadt as Maria 2. It is directed by Amy Phillips and Tim Buckley and produced by Nancy Wegrzyn.
The show will be presented in the Arnold Packer Hughs Auditorium at Monticello High School, 39 Breakey Ave. Tickets cost $3 for students with ID, $5 for adults and is free for senior citizens.
