NARROWSBURG, NY — “People, Planet, Politics,” a group exhibition, opens at Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, 37 Main St., on Saturday, February 10, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. The show—the first of DVAA’s 2018 season—will be on view at the Alliance Gallery through March 31. There will be an artists’ talk and panel discussion on Saturday, March 10 at 2 p.m.

“People, planet, and politics all have a significant impact on each other,” says DVAA’s gallery director Rocky Pinciotti, who curated the show. “Many of the works in the exhibit overlap these three categories. Some of the works are directly political with photographs of political rallies. Other works address nature’s impact on us, as well as the struggle to survive in urban and polluted environments. And there are images of people who are struggling to survive as a result of both natural and political fury.”

“People, Planet, Politics” includes 14 artists working in a variety of media, including Ellen Alt, Mark Aubrey, Ronald Gonzalez, Edith Gould, Thierry Gourjon, Laurie A. Guzda, Jonathan Hyman, Theodora Johnson, Peter Kopher, Richard Kreznar, William Landau, Glenn Lieberman, Patricio Robayo and Michael Trovato.

Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The activities of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance are made possible in part by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. For more information, visit delawarevalleyartsalliance.org or call 845/252-7576.
