HAWLEY, PA — “Parallel Freefall” is a collection of collaborative works on paper and canvas created by Rhonda Miller and Alexis Siroc over one year’s time. Selections from the work are on display at Cocoon Coffee House in Hawley, PA during the months of May and June.

The series started in South Berwick, ME while Siroc was visiting Miller. They worked side by side swapping two canvases every few minutes and continued making marks until they declared the pieces complete. At the end of the visit, it was decided they would try a similar process using the U.S. postal service to exchange the pieces.

They started a set of five canvases each. Alexis went home to Callicoon, NY with her set, and for the next six months they mailed each other numerous times a box of canvases with the progress of the work documented on Facebook. In January 2017, the works were exhibited near Rhonda’s home in Rollinsford, NH.

The series continued with works on paper; these can be see, along with some of the first pieces on canvas, at Cocoon.
