HURLEYVILLE, NY — The Sullivan County Historical Society (SCHS) will present the second in a series of free performances and informal talks about the history and culture of the Woodstock era on Sunday, April 8 from 2 to 3 p.m. “Live Music and History: Songs and Stories of the Sixties” is hosted by Little Sparrow. Guest guitarist Steve Schwartz will join guitarist Aldo Troiani of Little Sparrow in performing and discussing the songs and the guitars that made the ‘60s such an important time in music history.

Schwartz is a local legend, both for his extraordinary guitar-playing as well as for his famously eclectic and musician-friendly store in Rock Hill (Steve’s Music). He has performed with numerous local bands, including Jazzmosis and the Rock Hill Ramblers.

This series of performances and talks will continue on the first Sunday of each month at the Sullivan County Museum and Cultural Center at 265 Main St. Donations are welcomed to benefit the SCHS. For more information visit www.scnyhistory.org or call 845/434-8044.
