PORT JERVIS, NY — The Hub at the Port Jervis Free Library has announced that it will again partner with Friends of the Garden (FOG) to offer the program “Message in a Bottle,” which will be held on Thursday, March 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

During the class, participants will learn about Tillandsias, better known as air plants. Tillandsias lend themselves to many uses and containers and have become very popular.

Instructor Susan Dollard of the Friends of the Garden will discuss different types of Tillandsias, their origin, how to care for and display them. In this class, each participant will create a display with a Tillandsia and a small bottle that will contain a very special message. This unique project makes a perfect gift for someone special or just to keep and enjoy yourself.

There is a $10 non-refundable fee for supplies. To ensure your participation, register and send your fee to The Hub at The Port Jervis Free Library, 138 Pike Street, Port Jervis NY 12771. Participants may begin the registration process by calling the Hub at 845/856-7313, ext. 5; sending an email to thehub@portjervislibrary.org, or in person.
