GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The Time and the Valleys Museum will honor the men who fought in World War I and the women who supported the troops by hosting a weekend of educational programming and exhibits on July 8 and July 9. July, 2017 is the 100th anniversary of the first U.S. forces sent overseas to fight in World War I.

There will be a variety of presentations, including one by military historian Charles M. Breiner and “Songs of the Soldier” performed by entertainer Mark Rust. An exhibit on local residents who participated in WWI will also be on view. The museum seeks photos, documents, letters, stories, memories and other materials about local individuals from throughout Sullivan County and the Catskills who participated in WWI. Anyone with WWI materials is encouraged to contact the museum.

All materials supplied will be carefully preserved in the museum’s archives for the future. Materials can also be uploaded to the museum’s website at  www.timeandthevalleysmuseum.org/support/share-with-us.

For more information call 845/985-7700, email info@timeandthevalleysmuseum.org or visit www.timeandthevalleysmuseum.org.
