HAWLEY, PA — Harmony Presents showcases return performer Matt Nakoa on Friday, February 17. “Every single time Matt Nakoa plays a Harmony Presents show, our audience leaves totally thrilled and mystified. He’s easily a Harmony Presents favorite,” says managing director of Harmony Presents, Jill Carletti. 

As a recent Boston Globe interview put it, “Matt Nakoa is one of those well kept secrets you just can’t help but celebrate: intimate and genuine, soulful and bittersweet, a rich poetic songbook sung in praise to a complicated, emotionally present world.”

Nakoa became a star performer at Manhattan’s famous Brandy’s Piano Bar, producing long lines out the door every Saturday night, and he’s become a favored special guest in Tom Rush’s shows. His songwriting has garnered prestigious awards, including a win at Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Competition.

Wine, beer and snacks are available for purchase from Cocoon Catering on site at the shows. Seating is set up cabaret style with small, candle-lit tables and admission is general.
