A gingerbread house contest will be part of Liberty’s holiday lighting ceremony this year.

Liberty gingers up its holiday lighting ceremony

LIBERTY, NY — Main Street in the Town of Liberty will be transformed into a winter wonderland during the “Light Up Main Street” event on Saturday, December 16 at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to take a stroll down Main Street while singing Christmas carols and lighting up each storefront downtown. The event will take place. free cookies and hot cocoa will be provided by Shoprite and handed out in the Liberty Senior Center.

The first-ever Liberty Gingerbread House Contest will take place this year as well. All entries must be delivered to the Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation department in completed form on Saturday, December 16 between 3 and 5 p.m. The winner(s) for each division will be announced on Liberty Parks and Recreation Main Stage.
