Join NACL's street theatre team

CALLICOON, NY — Streets, the street theatre ensemble of NACL Theatre, is welcoming new participants (age 13 and up) to join free rehearsals and trainings taking place every Thursday upstairs at The Western Hotel from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Directed by Tannis Kowalchuk, the community ensemble is creating a series of spectacular short outdoor plays titled “Small Miracles” to tour to a variety of events, parades and festivals in the region.

The weekly trainings include activities such as group theatre exercises, song, stilt walking for those who want to try, performance composition, set and prop construction, writing and design.

The project encourages people to connect with others, build a team, challenge themselves and together create performance art that is designed to spark ideas, entertain and bring forth change for a better world.

Participants should wear clothes to move in and bring paper and pen. The training is free of charge. For more information contact tannis@nacl.org, or just show up ready to work.
