MILFORD, PA — The ARTery Gallery, 210 Broad St., will hold a new exhibit for February titled “Is It Love or Cabin Fever?,” with a reception on Saturday, February 10 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Is winter’s long and seemingly endless period of cold and darkness taking a toll on your psyche? Are you beginning to feel a little locked in and antsy? The gallery’s artists have had some fun with this seasonal phenomenon drawing on themes of cabin fever craziness: love (Valentine’s Day is approaching), emotional confusion, and how a cozy home can begin to feel like a prison.

For instance, in Kate Horan’s mixed media piece “Wolf at the Door,” fierce wolves approach the open door of a frightened family’s home. Al Rosser’s “Can Can Dancer” and his humorous interpretation of Manet’s famous “Olympia,” plus assemblages by Bill Rabsey that play with objects d’art, are just a sampling of the work on display. The event is free and open to the public, hosted by the member artists of the cooperative gallery.

The exhibit will be on display from February 9 to March 4. For more information call 570/409-1234 or visit www.arterygallerymilford.com.
