HONESDALE, PA — Brad Cole will perform at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St., on Friday July 27. Cole’s songs address the ups and downs of the human condition with both wit and raw insight. His passionate and distinctive delivery of roots-based folk music is woven with the grit and groove of old school bossa and rhythm and blues. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 7.
Cole’s early days of performing were in the Chicago club scene, initially performing alongside artists that make up the fabric of the city’s musical legacy such as Junior Wells, Otis Rush, Uncle Tupelo and the Smashing Pumpkins. He also led several Chicago-based bands including Treatment, The Second Story, Psycholove, and Check with Lucy.
Cole’s numerous side projects include the jazz/blues cover project Bossa Blue and the acclaimed singer/songwriter trio Cole, Nakoa & Treacher. In addition, Cole curates the traveling songwriter series Acoustic Circus.
The suggested donation is $10 advance or $15 at the door. Make reservations at 570/253-2020 or email info@thecooperage project.org.
