LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Catskill Art Society (CAS) will present a two-person exhibition from New York-based artists Eunjung Hwang and Paula Stuttman at the CAS Art Center at 48 Main St. on Saturday, May 12. The exhibition will be on view Saturday, May 12 through Saturday, June 23. There will be an artists’ talk and opening reception on May 12 at 3 p.m., immediately followed by the opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m.

Hwang’s drawings explore images from dreams and infancy, creating a variety of characters rooted in her dreams and subconscious images. For Stuttman, image and language have a prickly relationship. They slip out of each other’s grasp in the struggle for meaning. The artist’s body of work positions words or phrases followed by connected drawings.

Funding for CAS is provided in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislation. For more information, please visit www.catskillartsociety.org.
