NARROWSBURG, NY — Andrew Ranaudo and Nicole Brancato (together known as 2Squared) will play a four-hand piano concert on Saturday, February 24 at 2 p.m. at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, 37 Main St., as part of the DVAA’s winter Salon Series. 2Squared incorporates film selections into its performances, resulting in an audiovisual experience that’s imaginative, intellectual and memorable. There will be works by Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, Alfredo Casella and Erik Satie.
Ranaudo, a Cochecton native, is an award-winning musician, composer and teacher who has played venues around the world and makes his home in New York City.
“I’m excited to perform at DVAA, because it is a homecoming,” Raunaudo said. “I may live in Brooklyn, but my soul belongs to Western Sullivan County, which has a character and mystique that you don’t find everywhere.”
Regarding the music-film combination, Raundado said, “I’ve been combining music and visuals for over 10 years now. I’ve always been attracted to the idea of a ‘gesamkunstwerk,’ creating a whole new other world to inhabit.”
Admission is free thanks to the support of Larry and Shain Fishman. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information visit delawarevalleyartsalliance.org or call 845/252-7576.
