LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM) will unveil the new art exhibit being displayed in the Wulff Gallery, “The Forged Fly,” by artist Matt Hart of Hartist Metals, on Saturday, April 7. The exhibit is part of the museum’s Visiting Artist Series and will be on display through the end of April.

Hart (www.theforgedfly.com) has been a custom metal fabricator for over 20 years and has recently begun to specialize in sculpting by using various metals to create realistic fishing flies, for both fresh and salt water. His oversized metal flies include patterns like the Dette’s Coffin Fly, the Parachute Adams and the Royal Coachman. Most of his work is commission-based, and CFFCM will be displaying many pieces that will be available for purchase.

The Visiting Artist Series features local artists as well as artists whose work is inspired by fly fishing and/or the Catskills. Artists interested in showing their work are encouraged to contact the museum for more information.

CFFCM is located at 1031 Old Route 17. Admission for the exhibit is free and museum admission costs $10 per person, $20 for a family; children under five are admitted free. Hours are 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information email office@cffcm.com, visit www.cffcm.com or call 845/439-4810.
