Firefighter photographs at Klein's

LIBERTY, NY — Local photographer Rich Klein will display a series of limited edition photographs depicting some of the firefighters of the Sullivan Catskills region in the windows of the Liberty Museum & Arts Center at 56 South Main St. through April 7.

Klein, owner of Rich Klein New York Photography in Jeffersonville and a freelance photographer/reporter for the Sullivan County Democrat, has covered a few fires for the newspaper during 2017, which led to his idea of the theme for the window exhibit.

“These photographs communicate the sacrifices of our many volunteer firefighters and the camaraderie and teamwork among the many fire departments in the county,” Klein said. “I’ve watched these folks brave frigid temperatures for hours on end and [I] think everyone owes them a debt of gratitude. This is my little way of saying ‘thank you’ for all you do.”

The photographs are displayed in the large picture windows of the museum. The museum itself reopens in the Spring.
