Egg hunt and Easter Bunny

YULAN, NY — The Yulan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host a spring egg hunt and visit from the Easter Bunny at the firemen’s field on Saturday, April 15 at 2 p.m. There will be crafts for children and goodie bags to take home, compliments of the Easter Bunny. She will be arriving to start the egg hunt just after 2 p.m, so don’t be late.

Refreshments will be provided, and firemen will be on hand to show children the fire trucks and fire gear. There’ll be plenty of fun photo-ops. If the weather is bad, the Easter Bunny will visit the Yulan Firehouse instead. Bring nonperishable food items to support local food pantries. For information or to donate call 845/557-6090.

‘Living Last Supper’

MILFORD, PA — The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Milford (EPC) will present a one-act play titled “The Living Last Supper” during EPC’s Good Friday Worship Service on Friday, April 14 at 7 p.m. All are welcome and the admission is free.

The play, put together by EPC Pastor Ben Willis and congregational member and local theatre buff Steve Davis, is a dramatic presentation of the Last Supper. It begins with the Lord and the 12 disciples at table in the poses made famous by Leonardo DaVinci’s “Last Supper” painting. One by one, each of the disciples shares a short monologue about himself, his life, his death and his love for Christ, after which the next disciple speaks.
The Evangelical Presbyterian Church is located at 300 Broad St. on the corner of Ann Street. For more information visit epcmilford.org.

‘Torn’ reenacts crucifixion

HONESDALE, PA — The First Presbyterian Church of Honesdale will present a reenactment of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, “Torn,” on April 13, 14 and 15. This dramatic production will be presented at no charge at The Vineyard Center, 761 Terrace St., at 7 p.m. each night.

The audience will be drawn into this compelling portrayal of the events preceding and including the death of Christ through a shadow performance, special effects and music.

“Torn” is not so much a play as a creative depiction that is fueled by visual potency and powerful accounts from those who witnessed the events. Families are invited to make “Torn” an integral and memorable part of their Easter celebration. Though admission is free, there will be a free-will offering box. No need to dress up; come as you are, and experience the real meaning of Easter. Childcare will be provided for children five and under.
