A Day at the Museum: Castles of Sullivan County

ROSCOE, NY — Sullivan County Historian John Conway kicks off the “Day at The Museum” series on June 2 at 2 p.m. with his lecture on exploring the origins and lore of castles that were built in Sullivan County, at the Roscoe Ontario & Western Railway Museum at 7 Railroad Ave. At the close of the lecture, a map of presently existing castles will be provided, so interested attendees can drive by and see these castles from public roads. Respect landowners’ rights and do not trespass.

The Roscoe Ontario & Western Railway Museum is dedicated to exhibiting the paraphernalia and history of the NYO&W Railway and its impact on the local communities. It is open weekends from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
