WOODBOURNE, NY — The Sullivan County Community Chorus, under the direction of Kevin Giroux, will perform its 41st annual Winter Concert on Sunday, December 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6317 Rte. 42
Giroux’s theme for the winter concert is “Choral Snowflakes.” The concert selections include rousing African “Noels;” the powerful 20th century classic “Ave Maria,” by Franz Biebl; arrangements of seasonal classics by John Rutter and André Thomas; and Bach’s “Magnificat in D,” accompanied by chamber orchestra.
In appreciation of for the 41 years of support from the community, there will be no admission charged; however, free-will donations will be accepted. Immediately following the performance, there will be a reception. In case of inclement weather, the snow date will be Sunday, December 17 at 2:30 p.m. For more information call Diane Foster at 845/439-4458.
