ELLENVILLE, NY — Shadowland Stages will host its seventh year of “Matinees at Shadowland,” a program coordinated by Ray Faiola, starting with a classic Sherlock Holmes film on February 24 at 2 p.m.
Shadowland invites patrons to return to the golden days of yesteryear and enjoy four vintage feature films, as well as, cartoons and shorts all presented on original celluloid in its 1920s Art Deco-style playhouse.
First up will be “Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror,” with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, accompanied by cartoons “Russian Rhapsody,” a Merrie Melodie and Bob Clampett production; Three Stooges episode “In the Sweet Pie”; and “Dead Man’s Trap,” chapter nine of the Adventures of Captain Marvel.
