HURLEYVILLE, NY — A staged reading of “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks” will be presented by Michael Iannucci and Carol MacAdam on Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Sullivan County Museum, 265 Main St.
In this bittersweet comedy by Richard Alfieri, Michael, a foul-mouthed former Broadway dancer, and Lily, a prim Southern Baptist minister’s wife, meet as dance instructor and student. Their obvious differences cause a rocky start, but throughout the six weeks of lessons, they learn more about each other and themselves, and develop a surprising friendship.
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Sullivan County Historical Society. The reading is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
