BETHANY, PA — Bethany will host its fourth annual Soup-er Sunday soup sale on February 26 beginning at 11 a.m. You can take out or eat in at Bethany Borough’s community room upstairs from the Bethany Public Library, located at 8 Court St. along Route 670.

Offerings include creamy mushroom, Senate navy bean, chicken noodle with vegetables, butternut squash, golden harvest sausage, Italian wedding and potato leek. Chili will also be available. To view an up-to-date selection, visit the Bethany Public Library’s Facebook page.

Take-out orders will be ready to be picked up starting at 11 a.m., or dine in with family and friends also starting at 11 a.m. Bethany’s Soup-er Sunday ends at 2:30 p.m. (or before, if the soup runs out).
The cost of a quart of soup provided in a Mason jar is $10. To order ahead, call Janet Heinly at 570/253-5573. Make sure you leave information about what soup you would like, how many quarts, and leave your name and phone number. Please list a first, second and third choice.

Eat-in soup costs $3 for a full-size bowl, or $5 for two bowls. A list of ingredients will be provided for those concerned about food allergies. There will also be an assortment of homemade baked goods.
All proceeds go to the Bethany Collective, an organization of concerned citizens for the preservation and beautification of the Borough of Bethany, the Bethany Public Library, the restoration of the historic band shell in the park and the Bethany Historical Society.
