'Transformations' at the Alliance

NARROWSBURG, NY — “Transformations,” an exhibition of mixed media paintings by Mitchell Lewis, opens at Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, 37 Main St. on Friday, June 8, with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. The show will be on view at the Alliance Gallery through July 7.

An exhibit at The Museum at Bethel Woods in 2011 featured an installation celebrating the work of psychedelia “liquid light” pioneer Marc Rubinstein (www.piglightshow.com),” and his innovative contributions to the live overhead projection shows he created with legendary musical performers who rose to fame during the hippie hey day.
 

The Museum celebrates 10th

BETHEL, NY — The Museum at Bethel Woods will host a free day of family fun on Saturday, June 2, a decade to the day since the award-winning museum opened its doors. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m.

'It's Summertime!'

Fiore’s 'White Pine Suite'

MILFORD, PA — Ten paintings from Peter Fiore’s White Pine Suite are featured in an exhibit at the first floor gallery of the Hotel Fauchere, not far from the trees  at the Marie Zimmerman Estate that inspired this body of work. They will be on display throughout the summer.

NARROWSBURG, NY — “Artwork as Collection/Collection as Artwork,” a group show curated by Valerie Mendelson, opens at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA), 37 Main St., on Friday, May 11, with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. The show will be on view in the Loft Gallery through June 2.

The floral companion of Bill Rabsey’s abstract painting “Chaos Theory” uses homemade dried flowers in similar reds, burnt oranges and yellows. The sweeping placement of vertical purple branches reflects the brushstroke action in the painting. 

'Art in Bloom' at the ARTery

MILFORD, PA — Throughout the ages, artists have turned to nature for their inspiration. From May 10 through June 4, the Milford Garden Club will collaborate with the ARTery Gallery for an exhibition that turns this traditional approach to making art on its head.

History of Minisink-Pocono art

DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Historical Society will host artist Marie Liu for a presentation about the history of art of the Minisink-Pocono region on Thursday, May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Delaware Township Municipal Building. Liu was the resident artist of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in 2015-16.
