Indians pound Dawgs 13-1

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — Sometimes “13” is a lucky number, and “1” can be the loneliest number in the world.

On Friday, April 28, the Liberty Indians (1-5) varsity baseball team picked up their first win of the season by walloping the home team Bulldogs of Sullivan West 13-1.

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The boys of summer are back!

Just a few short weeks in the past, we labored under nearly three feet of snow, but on Thursday, April 13 it was a welcome sign of spring to watch a couple of high school varsity baseball teams take to the field under sunny skies.

Yellowjackets Sting Dawgs 56-48

ELDRED, NY — The #1 “Rule of Bugs” is never stick your hand into a yellow jackets’ nest.

But that’s exactly what happened to the Bulldogs of Sullivan West as they tangled with the Eldred Yellowjackets on February 16 at the home team’s William “Coach” Werneke Gym, as the visitors got stung by 8 points at the final buzzer.

A tale of two halves

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — It was like watching two different games.

In the first half of the girls’ non-league varsity game of hoops on February 16, the home team Lady Bulldogs of Sullivan West went on a 17-4 rampage against the Lady Eagles of Onteora.
