Chasing a championship

NORTH BRANCH, NY — Mike Roth, a 13-year-old eighth-grader at Sullivan West, is chasing a dream: to pick up an auto racing championship.


 A trio of winners: Isabel Nearing was named “Miss Softball” 2017. Bridget Hart was tabbed Most Valuable Senior Female Athlete 2016-2017 and received the Billy Moran Scholarship Award. Annisa Baurenfeind garnered the 2016-2017 Milt Gaebel Scholarship Award (female).

Sullivan West Honors Spring Sports Athletes

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — By all accounts, it was truly a banner year for the scholar athletes at Sullivan West Central School.

On Friday, June 16 the local community turned out in force to honor the prowess of their sons and daughters on the fields of play at the 2017 Spring Sports Awards Presentation.

MIDDLETOWN, NY — Where’s there’s smoke, there’s always fire!

The state’s top dog in NYSPHSAA Class D softball did it again for three years in a row, as they defeated their rivals 5-3 in a game that was decided in the seventh inning.

ACCORD, NY — The third-ranked Lady Ganders of Rondout Valley (13-4 overall, 10-3 league) almost had a shutout in a Section IX Class B softball quarterfinal on Tuesday afternoon, May 23.
