We gather road conditions are a source of perennial complaint in Damascus. What, if any, do you think the problems are, and how would you go about fixing them?

An effective road management plan is needed for the 95 miles of township roads, starting with a condition assessment program to establish repair priorities. These should be available for public viewing. Preventative measures such as effective ditching, crowning of roads, trimming of bushes/trees in front of signs, and maintaining bridges and sluices need to be preformed regularly to protect against road deterioration.
Due to the recent storms the road crews have been working very hard to get repairs done, but there might have been less damage, if regular maintenance had been performed.
