Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas Judge Gregory Chelak:

Jeffrey Hugh O’Donnell, age 59, of Walnutport, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  The state police were dispatched to SR 390 in Greene Township on October 28, 2015, where O’Donnell crashed his vehicle into a tree.  In speaking with O’Donnell, the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed him to have glassy, red, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.  A blood test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .232%.

Donna Marie Dehart, age 48, of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to 5 years of the Pike Care Program which will include 90 days of house arrest, a fine of $1,500.00 and a driver’s license suspension of 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  The state police were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash on July 1, 2016, where Dehart had flipped her vehicle.  An opened bottle of vodka was found in Dehart’s vehicle.  Dehart who admitted to drinking the vodka prior to the accident was transported to the hospital for her injuries where a blood draw confirmed a blood alcohol content of .246%.

Katie Renee Sladicka, age 27, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was sentenced to 3 months to 12 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $200.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The state police responded on June 17, 2016, to a report of Sladicka driving erratically and parked in a business parking lot along SR 739 in Blooming Grove Township where she was slumped over the steering wheel.  The trooper observed track marks on her hands and constricted pupils.  A consent to search the vehicle revealed empty Heroin packets, hypodermic needles and a spoon containing Heroin residue.

John Alan Campbell, age 42, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 3 months to 2 years in the Pike County Jail, fined $500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  Milford Police responded to a one-vehicle crash along Broad Street in Milford Borough on February 8, 2015.  In speaking with the driver, Campbell, the officer detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage.  Campbell admitted to drinking alcohol and being intoxicated.  Campbell refused to submit to a Field Sobriety Test and a breath test.

Tabatha Dale Thornton, age 41, of Rowland, PA, was sentenced to 6 months of probation, a $500.00 fine and a driver’s license suspension of 6 months for the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drivers Required to be Licensed.  Thornton was observed to be acting in a peculiar manner on September 9, 2016, along First Street and Avenue L in Matamoras Borough.  Thornton was found in possession of Oxycodone and Xanax and operating a vehicle without a driver’s license.

Amanda Lyn Reesey, age 36, presently incarcerated in the Lackawanna County Prison, was sentenced to 6 months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail, to run consecutive to her sentence in the Lackawanna County Jail and a fine of $900.00 for the crimes of Forgery, Access Device Fraud and Theft.  Reesey forged checks of an individual without his permission between November 3, 2016 and November 15, 2016, at a residence in Greene Township, ultimately receiving $1,050.00 in U.S. Currency.  She also used the individual’s ATM card without authorization to obtain an additional $600.00 in U.S. currency.

James Edward Bowser, age 26, of Honesdale, PA, was sentenced to 90 days to 5 years in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,800.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  On June 17, 2016, the state police came upon Bowser parked along Beaver Dam Road in Greene Township.  A consent to search his vehicle revealed Heroin. The state police responded to Orchard Drive on July 22, 2016, where Bowser had driven his vehicle into a tree.  Bowser was observed to have ashen skin, constricted pupils and foamy spit collecting around his lips.  A blood test confirmed the presence of Morphine and Codeine in his body.

Courtney L. Randolph, age 31, of East Orange, NJ, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $600.00 for two counts of the crime of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Randolph was stopped by the state police on July 4, 2016, for failing to stop at the exit ramp of I-84 on SR 402.  In speaking with Randolph, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana. A consent to search the vehicle revealed roach clips, a baggie and smoking device.

Scott William Koch, age 33, of Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 48 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  The state police stopped Koch on January 19, 2017, for failing to stop at a stop sign along Brink Hill Road in Blooming Grove Township.  The trooper questioned why Koch’s passenger window was shattered.  Koch revealed he attempted to discard his beer bottle when the trooper activated his lights.  A preliminary breath test and Field Sobriety Test showed impairment and a chemical breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .139%.

Bruce Maurice Shahrabani, age 62, of Newton, NJ, was sentenced to 48 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance.  The state police were dispatched to I-84 in Blooming Grove Township on January 10, 2017, where Shahrabani was involved in a one-vehicle crash.  While speaking with Shahrabani, the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed his actions to be slow, his speech slurred with dilated, bloodshot, glassy eyes.  Shahrabani admitted to drinking an alcoholic beverage and smoking Marihuana prior to driving.  A Field Sobriety Test was conducted which showed impairment and a blood test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .111%.

Nicole T. Miller, age 29, of Shohola, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation which will run consecutive to her 2016 sentence, fined $300.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Miller tested positive for Heroin during an appointment with her probation officer on December 29, 2016, at the Pike County Administration Building.  A search of the vehicle Miller drove to her appointment revealed Heroin.

Michael Ralph Orlando, age 53, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 3 months to 6 months in the Pike County Jail to run concurrent to his sentence dated June 29, 2017, fined $1,000.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  On November 6, 2016, the state police were dispatched to I-84 in Blooming Grove Township for a report of Orlando driving erratically.  In speaking with Orlando, the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed open beer cans on the floor of the vehicle.  A Field Sobriety Test was conducted which showed impairment and a preliminary breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of .174%.  Orlando refused any further testing.
