Flyfest at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Fly tyers from all over Northeastern USA will gather at the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum for the ninth annual Flyfest on Saturday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flyfest is sponsored by local Roscoe Fly Shop, Catskill Flies.

This annual event draws over 30 fly tyers to demonstrate their fly tying skills an innovative patterns, while telling wild stories of the fish that got away. All fly tyers are welcome to bring their equipment and join in the fun. Participants can also look at the new exhibits in works for 2014.

Dennis Skarka will be leading a tying seminar on the most productive flies for the Catskill Rivers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The usual admission to the museum will be waived while donations will be appreciated. If visitors have any used dishes, silverware, cups and/or glasses, consider donating them to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center.

Whether or not there is inclement weather, this event is held as scheduled. Everyone is welcome. For more information call 845/439-4810.
