HAWLEY, PA — Nature programs for kids will be held on each Wednesday and Saturday, July 27 to August 10 at PPL Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center. Big Bugs for Little Kids will be held on Wednesday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Learn about some of the insects that live in our area and spend time gathering live insects. Bring your own container or borrow one from PPL. Light Your Bulb will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Kids will learn how electricity works.

Designed for children ages five to 10 (also welcoming curious naturalists of all ages), these hands-on activities will spark creativity and appreciation for the natural environment around us. Nature enthusiasts and local educators Gene Shultz and Jenna Wayne will lead the programs. Bring your children prepared to be outdoors. Email pplpreserves@pplweb.com or call 570/253-7001 to register for these free programs, which will be held, unless otherwise noted, from 10 a.m. to noon.
