VARDEN, PA — Varden Conservation Area (VCA) will hold an environmental education program titled “Stream Investigation” on Thursday, July 25 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Tannery Access. Join the park naturalist to delve into Middle Creek to search for macroinvertebrates—stream critters that have an exoskeleton and can be seen with the naked eye—such as dragonfly larva, mayfly nymphs and crayfish. This is a great program for scouts and families. Wear old shoes or waders and dress to get wet. Registration is suggested by calling 570/676-0567 or emailing PromisedLandEnvEdSp@pa.gov.
