DINGMANS FERRY, PA — Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy for a native plants walk on Saturday, June 8 at the Beaver Run Hunting and Fishing Club property from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Renowned author and botanist Dr. Ann Rhoads will lead the walk and discuss native plants and their habitats.
The 857-acre property was permanently protected last December with funds from the Pike County’s Scenic Rural Character Preservation Program, the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and the Common Waters Fund. Made up of forests and waters, the property is home to native brook trout, eagles, beaver, otters, and other wildlife.
This walk is free and open to the public, but prior registration is required. Call 570/226-3164 or email info@delaware highlands.org.
