MILFORD, PA — Guided walks and talks about the trees on the grounds of Grey Towers National Historic Site, 122 Old Owego Turnpike, are planned for Saturday, September 15 at 11:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m.

U.S. Forest Service staff will lead participants throughout the estate on a 90-minute walk to identify and provide some history about many of the native and unique trees planted at the estate in the early 1900s. The Pinchot family planted more than 100 trees on the grounds after it was clear-cut around the turn of the century. Today, the estate is a living example of conservation and resource management.

Each walk is limited to 20 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is encouraged. Regular tour fees ($6 adults; $5 seniors; $3 youth; under 12 free) apply for this guided walk and participants have the option of touring the mansion for half-price before or after the walk. Email greytowers@fs.fed.us or call 570/296-9630.
