DINGMANS FERRY, PA — The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) at 583 Emery Rd. will offer another “Bridge the Gap: Intro to Snowshoeing” session, free courtesy of the William Penn Foundation. It will take place on Saturday, February 24 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Learn the basics of snowshoes and enjoy a winter walk along the McDade Trail. No experience necessary—PEEC provides the equipment and teaches you everything you need to know. Register early to reserve a pair of snowshoes and guarantee a spot.

The next day, there will be an animal tracking session from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Animals leave behind clues that give us glimpses into their lives. Explore our natural areas for tracks, trails, scat, territory marks, chew marks and other signs animals leave as they travel through the fields and forests of the Poconos. The cost is $5 and pre-registration is requested. Visit www.peec.org, email peec@peec.org or call 570/828-2319.
