LAKE ARIEL, PA — Lacawac Sanctuary has announced that the fourth annual Lake to Lake 8k Trail Run will take place on Sunday, October 15 on the trails of Lacawac. It has added a 5k run/walk for 2017 in addition to the 8k and Dog Woods Walk.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. Run and walk through the trails of Lacawac Sanctuary’s over 400 acres. Dogs are welcome and encouraged for the Dog Woods Walk.

This autumn trail run and walk is all for a good cause and fun for the whole family. Proceeds support Lacawac’s preservation and environmental education programs, scientific research and advocacy and public awareness outreach.

Awards will be given for the 8k and 5k for overall male and female, plus top finisher in a variety of age groups. The Dog Woods Walk is non-competitive.

The cost for the 8k trail run is $25 before October 6, $30 after. The cost of the 5k run/walk is $20 before October 6, $25 after. The cost of the Dog Woods Walk is $15 before October 6, $20 after, per individual human (no fee for dogs). If your entry forms are postmarked by October 6, you are guaranteed to receive race swag.
