William J. Tebo of Narrowsburg, NY, a maintenance advisor for Pan American Airways and longtime resident of the area, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at Regional Hospital of Scranton/Commonwealth Health Hospice Unit, Scranton, PA. He was 90.

The son of the late Robert Pascal and Madeline Newkirk Tebo, he was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 8, 1922. He was married for 65 years to Theresa Hensz Tebo, who survives.

Bill was a World War II veteran having served as a Private First Class in the Army Air Corp. After retiring from Pan American, he went to work for Atasko Airlines as a maintenance foreman. Atasko leased airplanes to Fed Ex and UPS. He was a world traveler and worked around the world. Bill was a Boy Scout in the 1930s and associated with scouting while living in South Florida. He was an Eagle Scout mentor for his grandson, Branden, in April 2012. He taught swimming and was also involved in the Pan Air Explorers.

A family statement reads: “Bill was the most loving man, he was loved by everyone. He touched so many lives. He will greatly be missed.”

In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by four children, Mary Jane Rice and her husband Al of Louisville, KY, William J. Tebo Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Atlanta, GA, Robert J. Tebo and his wife Laura of Alexandra, VA and Alexis Capaldo and her husband Gerard of Sandy Hook, CT; nine grandchildren, Julietta Toedtman, Johnathan Rice, Danielle Haycraft, Grant Tebo, Victoria Tebo, Katherine Tebo, Allison Tebo, Branden Capaldo and Michael Capaldo; two brothers, Robert P. Tebo of Wallingford, CT and John Tebo of Wells, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his twin sisters Jane and Mary.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg. Rev. Thomas Jones O.F.M. will officiate. Christian burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Narrowsburg.
