Mildred Frances Gilmore, formerly of Highland Lake, NY, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2012 in Round Hill, VA. She was 92.
She was born March 19, 1920 to the late Loretta Mary Behr and Abner Joseph Higgins in Brooklyn, NY.
Millie was a graduate of Bishop McDonald High School and Mercy Secretarial School in Brooklyn.
She was blessed with many friends and loved to spend time with them playing golf, practicing yoga and dancing.
Her husband Eugene W. Gilmore, also from Brooklyn and Highland Lake, passed away in 1995.
Millie is also predeceased by her mother and father, her sisters Loretta Ehrick and Rosemary Flynn, her brother Thomas Higgings, her daughter Bevin Gilmore and great-granddaughter Katie Kinghorn.
Millie is survived by four children, Andrea Brannelly (Jack) of Draper, UT, Lynn McNally (Jud) of Round Hill, VA, Loretta Clausen (Michael) of Eugene, OR, and Eugene W Gilmore III of Brooklyn, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Yulan, NY. Rev. Thomas Jones O.F.M. officiated. Christian burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Eldred, NY.
