Michael J. Casey of Afton, NY passed away Monday December 3, 2012 at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was 63.

He was born April 8, 1949 in Syracuse, NY to James and Doreen (Jamison) Casey. He was employed at RJE Telecom LLC as a field engineer.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Shelia (Goodrich) Casey; daughter Christine Hook and husband Jerry of Tyler Hill, PA; son David and wife Vicky of Narrowsburg, NY; stepdaughter Maggie Sweeney and two stepsons Lance Mercado and Justin Mercado; sister Kathy and Jim Tremblay; and three brothers John and Dawn Casey, Mark and Ann Casey, and Matthew Casey. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8 at 1 p.m. for family and friends at the home of Stanley and Jan Phillips, 136 Hodge Rd., Bainbridge, NY. Arrangements are by Aegis Cremation & Funeral Services, 196 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to Veterans Affairs or to your local SPCA in memory of Michael J. Casey.
