Alice E. Lahey of Warner Robins, GA and formerly of Milford, PA, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Heart of Georgia Hospice, Perry, GA. She was 80.

The daughter of the late William and Ruth (Kirkwood) Wright, she was born July 22, 1933 in Patchogue, NY. She was married to the late John Michael Lahey.

She worked for Sullivan County, NY for many years, and after retiring she could be found at the side of one of her four sons, or grandchildren. Whether it was a game of UNO with her grandchildren or helping one of “the boys” with their problems she was always there. Alice was the most selfless person, who always put everyone ahead of herself. Her quick wit and care for others is what truly defined her as a person. Her warm smile and ability to find just the right words always made everything better.

Survivors include four sons, Tobias Lahey, Tracy Sean Lahey, Torrance Scott Lahey and Timothy Lahey; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She had many nieces and nephews that have always been there for her, including Laura Corbett, Billy Middaugh and Ruth Wesserling.

Funeral services were held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 12 noon with Rev. George Hart officiating.

Burial took place at Milford Cemetery, Dingman Twp., PA.

Memorial donations can be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice (www.heartofgahospice.org).
