Johan Edmund Sletner, 91, of Shohola, PA, passed away at home on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Johan was a retired field tech for International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). He was a member of Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post 139, Milford, PA, Sons of Norway, Lackawaxen, PA and a United States Navy veteran.

The son of the late Earl and Ida Sletner, Johan was born on April 28, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to Barbara Richter, who predeceased him on December 4, 2009.

Johan is survived by his son, Eric Sletner and his companion Linda Peter of Shohola, PA; daughter, Sheri Kowalski and her husband Roger of Milford, PA; grandchildren, Kerri Kowalski, Nickolas Sletner and Melissa Sletner; great grandchildren, Caroline and Benjamin Sletner; and his sister, Edna Woods of Florida. Johan was predeceased by his daughter, Laura Sletner on January 23, 2009.

Services were held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford Street, Milford, PA on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

Final interment will be at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA at the convenience to the family.
