Anita Sutliff Beardsley of Honesdale, PA passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was 67.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert Beardsley, who died May 4, 2007. The couple married February 15, 1964.
Born August 1, 1944 in Cochecton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Arvilla Peck Sutliff.
She was a graduate of Honesdale High School. Later she did office work at Katz Underwear Company in Honesdale and also worked as a food service manager at the Damascus School.
Following retirement, she enjoyed time with her son, working in her yard and traveling.
Surviving is her son John Beardsley of Honesdale; sisters Arvilla Wolfe of Vancouver, WA and Pat McElroy and husband Austin of Honesdale; brother Clarence E. Sutliff Jr. and wife Betty Lou of Whitehall, PA; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience in Indian Orchard Cemetery.
