Nancy Hicks Henrich passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Callicoon, NY. She was 83.

She was born on May 19, 1928 in Stamford, CT. She was the daughter of Emma Barthel and Russell Ensor Hicks.

She graduated from Connecticut College in 1950 with a degree in Psychology and started her professional career working for Time-Life Publications in NYC; then as a legal secretary for William C. Rosen Law Offices in Callicoon.

She was an avid traveler and reader, and was active in her community through Holy Cross Church, the Interfaith Outreach United Thrift Store and as a member of the St. Elizabeth Seton Franciscan Fraternity.

Nancy is survived by her son, Theodore P. Henrich and wife, Amy; and grandchildren Nancy Kate, Anna Beth and Thomas, all of Huntsville, AL.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Henrich.

The funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church, Callicoon on Wednesday, September 21 with Father Ignatius Smith OFM officiating.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, on Friday, September 23 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Major officiating.

Burial will take place in German Hill Cemetery, Shohola, PA at the convenience of the family.
