Alan G. Speaker of Glen Spey, NY passed away Tuesday May 24, 2011 at his home. He was 82.

He was born on August 4, 1928 in the Bronx, NY, the son of the late Albert and Anna Fitzgerald Speaker.

Alan was a retired courier for Wells Fargo Armored Car Service in New York City. He was a member and Past Chief of the Lumberland Fire Dept., Glen Spey and a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645 B.P.O.E., Port Jervis, NY.

Alan married Betty Holthusen Speaker, who survives. He is also survived by sons Robert Speaker of Barryville, NY and Richard Speaker and wife Melissa of Port Jervis; grandchildren Patricia and Jennifer Speaker and Jason Ward; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
