Joan A. Tyler of Beach Lake, PA died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at home. She was 70.

Mrs. Tyler was born June 5, 1940, in Honesdale, PA, the daughter of the late Harold and Ethel Mae (Hogancamp) Kennedy.

She was a retired seamstress who enjoyed bingo, her computer and yardwork. She loved her dog, Suzy. Her vacations were bus trips, Yankee games and train rides. Mrs. Tyler was a member of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church and the Pleasure Riders Motorcycle Group.

She is survived by her beloved friend John Savage of Waymart, PA; sons David Jr. and wife Becky Tyler of White Mills, PA and Jeffrey and wife Donna Tyler of Honesdale; daughter Kimberly Masker of Honesdale; brothers Donald D. Kennedy of Carbondale, PA and Charles Kennedy of Sellersville, PA; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, David Earl Tyler, Sr. and a brother, Daniel Kennedy.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 19 at Teeters’ East Chapel, Hawley, PA.

Burial was made in Clinton Center Cemetery in Waymart.
