June 27, 2012

MILFORD, PA – Come celebrate our nation’s birthday on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, as the US Forest Service offers a fee-free day at Grey Towers National Historic Site, Milford, PA. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Forest Service staff will offer a unique insight into the conservation contributions made by the Pinchot family and how they utilized the Grey Towers estate as their family home until 1963, when it was donated to the US Forest Service.

Additional fee-free days during the 2012 season include Saturday, August 11, Gifford Pinchot’s birthday (with free ice cream) and Saturday, Sept. 29, National Public Lands Day.
